So last new year, I went on a trip with my girl and her friends…it was mostly girl group with me and one more guy(bf of one of the other girls in group).

During trip I felt an attraction towards one of the other girls in group and she was equally reciprocating, like responding to my jokes or seeming interested in whatever random topics I ramble about(which is rare). I have very peculiar interests.

Even after the trip, she reached on Insta. And always tries to start a conversation or suggesting to meet to see a movie or some exhibition.

It felt wrong, but like I said I already some attraction so I played along.

Now I am thinking of breaking up and being with the friend instead.

Am I in the wrong?

I know there all these unsaid rules about relationships, but in real life love is often messy and complicated.

I didn’t cheat if that’s a question. I just fell in “love” with someone else.

Also like I mentioned she seems to be actually interested in books I read or obscure films I watch.

It’s gonna be more hurtful because it’s her friend. I am so conflicted.

Edit: You people function in such idealised version of world where everything needs to be by the book, and all rules of love are defined.

Real emotions and relationships are often so messy, how is it so bizarre to believe that one person can fall out of love with someone and fall in love with someone else.
