AITA: My step daughter (17) just told me (39 m)that the reason I’m a good dad is because my father was not one. I then told her how disrespectful that was to talk about my father when she has never even attempted to talk to him even once. I told her that she should never talk about my father or anyone else in that manner unless she has personal experience in the matter. Now of course she's upset saying I snapped at her for no reason, and her mom is saying I should have just kept quiet instead of taking offense. Am I in the wrong here? If so explain to me why
