So me and my boyfriend split everything 50-50, even when he brakes something I chip in 50 percent, but when it comes to groceries it seems unfair because he eats more than me and he also picks everything he wants at the grocery store. I tried to bring up buying or own stuff cus I need to budget and he said he will feel distance towards me and feel close to breaking up if we did that. He said he spends way more on our relationship and I shouldn’t be thinking like this which isn’t true. He pays for subscriptions that he wants and complains about 4k leaving his account, which isn’t my fault. He said once he earns money he will pay for everything which Im unsure will happen. (We both don’t have a job right now) He hit me with resistance and end of story. We are leaving to his home country soon and getting cheap rent. When we leave I’m happy to split a bill if we go out to eat since it’s cheaper there but I don’t want to split groceries anymore but I don’t want him to be upset with me especially being in a foreign country. Should I only buy my groceries and deal with the consequences? Ps. He loves cooking for us so I don’t want to disrupt that either.
