My partner and I have a set aside day for date night. My partner had alone time with the kids for the last two weeks. I work night so we set Sunday aside for just us to have a date night no distractions no interruptions. We told the kids before we left to not call unless it was a true emergency. The 12 year old call like a little over an hour into it asking if they can play badminton etc etc and it’s like a 5 minute phone call. I was upset because they’ve had the last two weeks every night and I’ve been working 5-6 overnights 12 1/2 hours and rarely get alone time. She could definitely tell I was upset and when we got home (it’s our set aside day for date night) goes and plays badminton with him and “tells him he shouldn’t have called” like I never get alone time with her and I’m clearly upset. We told them before we left to not call unless an emergency. Am I wrong for expecting her to pick up and ask “is this an emergency this is our date night”
