First time posting here and need an outside opinion. My bf (22) and I (21) have been dating since we met in high school almost six years ago. Everything is good between us, we rarely fight or disagree on things, and still joke around and have fun like we’re best friends. My family invites him every year and they live less than five minutes away from us, and so does his family. For the past couple of years he has come over to eat dinner with us and open presents if it’s Christmas, the usual. (He is also vegetarian and we accommodate for his diet as well.) Every year we goes to his parents’ house and spends time with them(which is one ofc it’s his family) and then I go over to mine to help cook food while he spends more time with his parents. The issue is that he is always late to eat with us/opening presents and gets upset when we wait for him. I ask him before hand, are you coming over soon? And that we’re almost ready to eat/open presents and he says he’s gonna be here soon, but it’s always hours later. AITA for getting upset with him for spending too much time over with his family and being late for our events? Plz help, I feel so torn and I’m not sure how to feel. Thx to anyone who made it this far.
