I was at a club with my bff, a military brat. She is 3rd generation army. We see a guy in an under shirt, military issue and official military camo pants.

We wander up to his group and we both ask which brach they served in. He says he doesn't care what we're talking about. I apologise if that offensive to ask. His friend says hi and interacts about the pattern of my dress. Military fit says he got the outfit at an op shop. My friend (3rd gen military) says wearing an official military uniforms could cause him to be arrested for impersonating an military officer and he should be weary.( It's taken serious in our state. )

He response by stating he has a girlfriend I respond by saying we weren't hitting in him but showing our respects. He states he doesn't care and has a girlfriend again. His friend who hit on me tries to re-engage but due to his rude friend, the two of us walk away.

Whose the ahole?

I should state that he was rude and acted as though us asking was an inconvenience/wrong.
