Hey so last week I posted something on my spam account story and I blocked all my friends from my new school from it, including my boyfriend. The reason for this was cause I posted a cringe little vent about my experience with bullying while attending my old school. I only let all my friends from my old school view it because they’re the only ones fully aware of the situation and it felt pointless going on the rant and having my current school friends see it. I mainly blocked my boyfriend from it just cause it felt a little touchy and cringe to have him see it. You know how it’s usually harder to open up to those closer to you compared to those who aren’t gonna be in your presence everyday? I explained this all to him and he was pretty upset. We then ended it with me apologizing and him saying it’s okay cause he understands that I need privacy sometimes too. Today, the topic came up again but it was a much more heated argument. He said forget the privacy thing, if I really wanted privacy there was no point in posting it. I tried to explain that my privacy was between me and my old school friends and not between others, as well as the fact that I felt weird having him see it cause it’s hard for me to have that information be available to those I’m gonna see everyday and I don’t want to have an awkward pity conversation. I also tried to explain that I took it down immediately too because I realized I didn’t want anybody seeing it anyway because it felt cringe letting people know how I felt about the bullying. I completely understand why he felt disrespected being blocked but I am being truthful when I say there was no bad intent. I did not want to hide anything from him because of something that could get me in trouble. I felt sad one night and I wanted an outlet, but felt uncomfortable having certain people be associated with that outlet. I won’t do it again, but I have to be honest and admit that I do not really understand why it was taken this far (like getting into a fight wise). Aita?
