📝 AITA for creating a separate friend group because my original one kept hanging out without me?

I (20F) had a friend group that I genuinely loved. We hung out often and shared everything — or so I thought. Over time, I started noticing that they would sometimes meet up without inviting me. At first I thought it was just coincidences, but it kept happening — I'd see stories, posts, or hear about hangouts I wasn’t even told about.

When I brought it up, they brushed it off like it was no big deal and told me I was "overthinking." So, I slowly started spending more time with other people who actually invited me, supported me, and made me feel included. Eventually, I made a new group of friends — and honestly, I'm much happier.

Now my old group is accusing me of being "fake," "disloyal," and "abandoning them over small misunderstandings." They say I'm immature for "ditching them" instead of "talking things through," even though when I tried, they gaslit me.

AITA for creating a new friend group instead of sticking around feeling left out?
