So this happened recently. I was at the gym, mid-workout, and I paused to take a quick selfie. Nothing crazy—just a progress pic to keep myself motivated. Out of nowhere, this girl nearby mutters (loud enough for me to hear), “Ugh, people who take gym selfies are so full of themselves.”

I was already a little on edge that day, but that just pushed me over. I snapped back and cursed her out—told her to mind her own business and threw some strong words her way. She looked shocked and walked off, and a couple people nearby gave me looks.

Now I’m wondering if I overreacted. I didn’t say anything to her first, and I felt like she was being rude for no reason. But maybe I went too far by going off on her like that.
