So for context I’m the only girl (besides my mom) in a family of boys. Previously, I had a broken lock on my bathroom door, which caused one of my “brothers” to constantly use my bathroom toilet and leave pee on the commode… I’m sure anyone would find this disgusting that someone who’s in their 20s can’t even clean up for themselves! I’m 17 for context (if that even matters). The most infuriating thing is that my mom couldn’t care less. I slightly fixed the problem by installing a new lock which has helped when I’m not in the house. When I’m in the house, I don’t really keep it locked because I would think that he would have the decency and respect to not use my toilet—or at least if he did, clean up after himself. Well, around 2 days ago, he used my toilet while I was taking a nap, and surprise surprise, pee all over the commode. I was super annoyed and I told my mom but she said that I need to “forget about it,” and when my door isn’t locked, I should be expecting it. It’s so funny how she goes out of her way to excuse everything they do, but when they do it to her, it’s a problem. 🤣 Anyway, yesterday, the same thing happened and I was like huh? I even asked him if he did it but he KEEPS denying it, but the proof is there; he’s the ONLY one who attempts to use my toilet. He leaves pee everywhere because my mom didn’t teach him how to take care of himself. Honestly, his hygiene sucks, but everyone tolerates it for some odd reason. He also lies for no reason at all which is odd and extremely infuriating. As I write this, I’m still shocked someone in their MID TWENTIES cannot clean up after themselves after they pee in the toilet—and don’t get me started on the other shit that he does. I cannot wait until I’m out of this house for college!!!!!

But anyway, am I TA?

ETA: Anytime I tell my mom about it she says she “doesn’t want to call him out, because it’s his house too and he should feel comfortable” 😂
