My sister (17) and me (16) live in the same household. Lately my clothes have been going missing out of nowhere. Me and my sister take turns doing the laundry but my sister is the one who does it usually. Last tuesday I had enough of my clothes going missing and decided to confront my sister abt it since she does the laundry most of the time. She said she had no idea and I decided to let it go. Few days later, I was cleaning around the house when my sister was out w her friends so I decided to check her room to see if I could find my clothes. Ik I shouldn’t have been searching her room but I decided to look inside her closet just in case. When I looked inside I saw all of my clothes that had gone missing. I was so pissed I told my mom right away that my sister had been stealing my clothes. She brushed it off and gave me a lecture on how I was being childish and that it was normal for sisters to share clothes. (I did talk back because I was so angry.) I hate sharing clothes especially personal stuff like underwear (which I found in her closet.) I would have given her my clothes if she had asked btw, but she didn’t. Once my sister got home I just started yelling at her bc of how angry I was. My mom heard all the yelling so she came over to tell me to behave and took my phone away since I was being “unreasonable” and “immature”. My sister got no lecture whatsoever. It makes me incredibly uncomfortable to share my underwear with her, especially since I have bladder issues and am more prone to UTIs. I stopped talking to both my mom and my sister and I won’t talk until they apologise. We’ve been ignoring each other for a week now. Was I in the wrong?
