I 23 (F) and my bf 23 (M), have been in a relationship for a little over 3 years. Whenever I would have my period, I’d have extreme mood swings. I just got diagnosed yesterday that I have PCOS, and I just bought and started my medication for it.
I do admit that I become very irritable and emotional during this time of the month. My usual symptoms are-physical: diarrhea, breast tenderness, extreme cramps; Internal: sudden depression, erratic and frenzy like cravings I can’t control (if I don’t get to eat what I’m craving, I won’t be able to function), I bring up issues in our relationship that doesn’t sit right with me (problems that were never solved since he just wants us to leave it behind and not solve it ever) and I do get very irritated easily (I don’t want to see him and I revolt his existence).
Whenever I’m near or on my period, he would become moody and irritated as well. Instead of understanding me, he would fight with me whenever it’s that time of the month. He even repeatedly told me to “control” my mood swings. And I do control it despite it being very challenging, but it still tends to show every now and then which triggers his anger more and makes him want to break up with me (he wants to break up if I’m having mood swings) AITA?
I’d appreciate your feedbacks regarding this. Thank you💗
