Ok so- I am a (20F), My brother (24M) recently told me he was going to put forth a marriage proposal to someone, he didn’t tell me who it was but I almost instantly i knew he was talking about a close friend of ours. Here’s the thing, we come from a strict and religious household so he wanted to do it the right way and ask her first indirectly and then ask her father for her hand in marriage. Some inside details, they both are kind of close since he is a sort of mentor to her, she is (21F), and he has been teaching her since she will be working in the same place as him. Now my brother had once kind of asked confessed indirectly but she didn’t have any feelings for him, thats what she told me. But nonetheless they both are kind of close due to circumstances, now, my brother has hopes of marrying her and she being close to me, came to me for advice and how to deal with it, he didn’t confess this time either but wrote cryptic words that indicated he liked her, she told me she still had no feeling, so i helped her reject him despite him having a whole lot of feelings for her, i have never seen him so nervous before about any girl or situation, and i feel like me helping her reject him makes me the biggest asshole alive.
