📝 AITA for leaving a bad Airbnb review

Long story short me and my spouse booked an Airbnb and it was a such a crappy stay we feel like we need to say something.

  • There were only 2 twin beds which caught us by surprise. The description said “two beds” and I guess we assumed that meant one of them was at least a full size. The photo of the beds makes it hard to tell the size.

  • The house is on a main road and there are busses and cars driving by 24/7 adding noise and flashing lights all the time. (Not mentioned in the description)

  • The host lives upstairs with children and there was a good deal of booming, pounding and furniture dragging at 7am, 11pm, and throughout the day on weekends. (Not mentioned in the ad)

  • The window had crappy blinds that don’t block light from passing cars.

  • There was no lamp in the whole apartment, only overhead lights.

  • To their credit the apartment and bedsheets all felt and smelled very clean. It was just bleak. Not dirty though.

  • To their credit this place was half the price of others near it.

Overall 1 star experience but I feel so badly leaving a bad review… but I do feel a duty to future guests to warn them about the car noise and the noise from the apartment upstairs (as someone who is sensitive to noise myself I would not have booked here if I had known)
