I have lived in my city of birth off and on for the better part of my whole life. My city doesn’t offer much in my chosen career and I have more opportunities in the east coast. The issue becomes my mom is living with my sister now and my sister has been emotionally and financially abusive with my mom in the past , to the point that the house that she lives in with her husband, she manipulated and emotionally abused my mom to get her to pay for it. Despite all of this my mom continues to excuse her behaviour and even more so since she had my Nefew but guilts me to death if I ever try to do anything for myself so now that I’m determined to leave she put on the gas on the guilt even though she’s choosing to stay in this situation. I told her that she can’t expect me to put my whole life on hold for her bad decisions and if you wanted to change your situation you’re more than capable since she still has the finances to do so. But the guilt is working on me cause I’ve been conditioned to it so AITA
