recently, my family and i went to the pokemon regionals in Atlanta. there are side events where you can earn tickets and spend them at a prize wall. At said prize wall there was a bulk box of 450 basic energy cards, not holographic or special or anything. i knew this from my past experiences; my parents wanted one because they thought they were holographic. when i went to redeem my prizes, i closely inspected the wording and knew it was nothing special; to not disappoint them, i do not get it and spend the tickets at my leisure. fast forward a few days and my mom says that i disappointed them by not getting it; i explain that I knew it was nothing special and that they would be disappointed by it. they said they were even more disappointed by the fact that i did not get it, and it devolved into an argument where my mom said i am a asshole often. in this instance, is this true? i feel like the worst person ever for not getting them something they would regret
