I (M15) have not been talking to my father for about a year after certain things happened. Here's a quick summary of my previous 3 years, which I believe will give you more information to work with.

I have moved in with my parents after staying with my grandmother since 2nd Grade. My mom had to move to another city for work reasons. At the time, I never knew who my father was and when he would come back. I came to the conclusion that my mom was my only parent and that my father had left or something else happened to him. In 5th grade, he suddenly came back and I didn't know how to take it. I was never told where he was and why he left for 10 full years in the first place. I kept a happy face on to not cause conflict. They would occasionally visit me and my grandmother 2-3 times a year. When I finished 7th grade, I moved in with them and here I am now in 9th grade.

I still don't know what the reason for him leaving was and it's starting to get to me.

Once, he threatened me for leaving the stove outlet on even though the plates weren't even on. Later that day, he came in the house smelling of weed and alcohol. He attempted to talk to me but I kept quiet. He asked me "Do you love me?" multiple times and I was silent. I didn't know what to say or do. He then unplugged my console (I was playing on the TV) and literally pulled my laptop out of my hands. My mom heard this happen and rushed to see what the problem was but refused to acknowledge it and said that it's between me and him and will not intervene.

The next day, he was sitting on the couch with his friend. I asked for my laptop back and he immediately refused, going further on to curse at me. I had no words. I told my mom but again, she didn't do anything about it.

After that day, I told myself that I'm not going to talk to him until he apologizes. He hurt me emotionally and didn't even try to apologize. He also uses the laptop in front of me as if he did nothing wrong. I eventually got my console back as my mom gave it to me.
