Burner account because why not. We’re both 16, I’ve had my license for around 6 months. He got his not long ago. We have three cars in the family (mom, dad, and our shared car). Thing is, all four of us are fairly busy, with jobs, sports, social lives, etc. It isn’t a money problem, my parents take home north of 400k a year. But when we were getting the car, it was never even an option for my brother and I to have our own cars of lesser values. I’ve communicated with my parents about this, but all they’ve said is “you just have to be flexible”, even though neither of them have had to share a car, and my older sister who has moved out had her own car from the get go. I haven’t communicated directly with my brother about it, but I know imagine his POV is similar to mine.
