📝 AITA for rejecting a marriage proposal because of the guy's height?

I’m a 21F, currently studying, and I recently received a marriage proposal from a guy who is, according to everyone around me, "perfect." He’s got a solid 9/10 in terms of personality, career, and overall compatibility—except for one thing: his height.

He’s 5’8, and I’m 5’6. I’ve always envisioned myself with someone who’s 6 ft or taller, partly because my family and relatives are all tall, and that’s what I’m used to. It’s just a personal preference I’ve held for as long as I can remember.

Here’s the issue: my mom is furious with me for not even considering this proposal. She insists that height doesn’t matter, and I’m being shallow and unreasonable for letting this be a dealbreaker. She says that I’m missing out on a “perfect” match and that nobody else will meet my unrealistic expectations. To add to the drama, I still have about three years of studying left and don’t plan on getting married anytime soon, but my mom keeps pressuring me to give this guy a chance.

I know height isn’t everything, but I feel like I should be allowed to prioritize what’s important to me in a lifelong relationship. Am I the asshole for rejecting him over something as seemingly minor as height?
