So for context I (18F) have been dating my first bf (19M) for two years now, and we’ve gotten really close over time. We send each other random selfies on Snapchat often, and I recently used a filter that creates a fake animated Shrek in front of you that’s “making out” with you. The only reason I even knew this filter existed in the first place is because I’ve seen my boyfriend using it and sending a selfie to his friends as a joke before. So I thought I’d get in on the joke and I sent him a selfie while using it, adding a caption that said “wyd”… which he clearly didn’t like because he’s been upset recently and doesn’t want to talk to me right now. He said it was a disrespectful thing for me to do and that this is different from when he used the filter because he’s the same gender as Shrek, so I apologized, but he’s still giving me the silent treatment. I’m starting to think he’s overreacting for getting insecure over a LITERAL SNAPCHAT FILTER… I’m shocked that I even have to ask, but AITA?
