📝 AITA for sending my boyfriend a selfie with a Snapchat filter on?

So for context I (18F) have been dating my first bf (19M) for two years now, and we’ve gotten really close over time. We weren’t close friends before dating, so I’ve only really known him for this long. I do know, however, that he has a boyish sense of humor and makes “bromance” jokes with his guy friends. I’ve never taken this seriously and understand that it’s nothing I should be jealous over, because I know he’s straight and only into me.

We send each other random selfies on Snapchat often, and I recently used a filter that creates a fake animated Shrek in front of you that’s “making out” with you. The only reason I even knew this filter existed in the first place is because I’ve seen my boyfriend using it and sending a selfie to his friends as a joke before. So I thought I’d get in on the joke and I sent him a selfie while using it, adding a caption that said “wyd”… which he clearly didn’t like because he’s been upset recently and doesn’t want to talk to me right now. He said it was a disrespectful thing for me to do and that this is different from when he used the filter because he’s the same gender as Shrek, so I apologized, but he’s still giving me the silent treatment. I’m starting to think he’s overreacting for getting insecure over a LITERAL SNAPCHAT FILTER… I’m shocked that I even have to ask, but AITA?

Tldr; I used a snapchat filter that shows an animated Shrek making out with you and my boyfriend got mad at me for it (even though he’s also used it before). AITA?
