I worked at a shipping store a while back and I just remembered this incident.

Homeless People would always come in and use our bathroom. One woman would die her hair in there like every month. It was annoying but whatever, we cleaned up after them and that was it,

So one day this woman walks over and is like, “excuse me, the bathroom is really messy.”

“Ok, thanks, I’ll clean it when I have a moment”

Then she crossed the line with me: “It really says a lot about the people working here when the bathroom is all gross like that”

I had had a busy stressful day so I’m like “what the fuck is that supposed to mean, lady?”

She was taken aback and said “ask me that again, Dave!?”

Her husband came over and she looked at me like “oh I gotcha now”

So I say “ok, now that DAVE is here…what the fuck was that supposed to mean? Hey Dave, your wife just basically called us scumbags, I resent that. Now you’re caught up, Dave”

Yelling happened after that, threats to call manager and cops, so on and so on. Eventually they just left though.

Was I a dick there?

Well I was a dick but was I a dick in a bad way?
