I got hit with what i think was Covid a couple of weeks ago. It was pretty strong, but I'm fine now. I wasn't exactly the most active for those 10 days or so, but i managed okay

Early on i had to cancel a date night with my girlfriend of 7 months a day earlier. She understood, but she wanted to come over my place for a bit and make sure i was okay.

Thing is, i already had most things in hand. I had food i could eat easily enough. I meal prep and store in freezers and also have the instant things like Huel and similar. So i didn't actually need anything, but just to rest and wait it out. All her coming over would do, is make her potentially ill as well. So i told her not to worry about it, and that we could catch up after.

She seemed to really want to come over, but the last thing i wanted is for her to also get ill, so insisted she stay away for her own benefit. Eventually she accepted.

Over the next few days she asked if i needed anything. Like groceries, and random bits and bobs like medicine, toilet tissue, shower gel or whatever. But i didn't need anything as i was pretty decently stocked, and the earlier food i mentioned.

We didn't see each other in person until after I was fine again on Wednesday. But we did chat and play online together (FFXIV if it makes a difference). I assumed all was fine

But when i tried to plan our date night again, she was like "Oh now you want to see me?" all snarky. I wasn't expecting that at all, so asked her if everything was okay

She was saying that i was dismissive of her, and made her feel like she was bothering me, when all she wanted to do was help. But i genuinely didn't need anything, and there was no point in both of us getting ill for no reason. I'm not sure what i could have done different

So am i the asshole?
