I (13F) got along really well with my older sister Deborah (17F) until the start of this year. Deborah’s starting at an Ivy League college this fall with a partial scholarship, so she has been acting very arrogant and entitled recently. Our parents have been so proud of her acceptance into such a prestigious school that they have been on her side of every argument since. Anyways, today I had a long and exhausting day at school and came back home. I’d had lunch at home, but was craving a snack and Deborah, as soon as I got home, asked if I wanted some McDonald’s. I was so hungry I immediately said yes and she said okay hop in the car we’ll drive there now. But I was extremely tired. My last period was PE and we had to run laps. So I asked Deborah if she could just go by herself and get me some food, but she said that if I didn’t come then I wasn’t going to get anything. Her point was that we were going to drive anyway, and I could just chill in the car but I was so tired that I just wanted to lie down at home. Deborah said that she’d rather not go at all if she had to go alone, and began to make plans to go to her friend’s house. I told Deborah that I was really hungry, and could she please go to McDonald’s and get me some food. But Deborah was being petty and said that if I wanted the food then I had to walk and get it myself since I’d turned down her earlier offer since she now had plans. I’m still really hungry and upset as I wait for my parents to get home. I’m just a teenager and she’s almost an adult but she has no sympathy for me or any of my problems and looks down on me so much because she’s successful. I told my parents this on the phone, but they told me that I could have just ordered DoorDash on my own or picked up something after school if I was so hungry and was being rude to Deborah. AITA for expecting my sister to get me McDonald’s, especially since I was at school the whole day and she was at home the whole day?
