My friend and I were hanging out and we both noticed a dollar on the table. I had bought us drinks so I assumed it was mine. I picked it up to put in my pocket but she freaked out saying it was her dollar. I said something like: "No, I’m sure it’s mine. I just paid for everything" but she kept insisting, and now she’s not talking to me. I feel like it’s just a dollar, why would she make a big deal out of it? But now every time I try to talk to her she’s ignoring me. I’ve been texting her and she just gives one-word answers. I’m feeling pretty hurt but at the same time I think It was my dollar. Also I think she might actually be upset since I accidentally hurt her dog with my car, and then ran over her brother a few months ago, breaking his leg. But that’s got nothing to do with the dollar and I apologised for both those things. I'm thinking about cutting her off because I can't take the toxicity. AITA for this?
