Long story short - my ex and I were together almost a decade, married 2 years. I made the decision to leave, he was distraught but got with someone new a couple of weeks later and moved in with them shortly after.

My “friend” of 10+ years was our engagement/wedding photographer and other special events over the years (I paid for her services). He was never nice about her behind her back as he would make rude comments about her weight and personality, he didn’t know her besides when she did our photos. I defended her relentlessly. I stayed friends with her after the breakup since she was really “my friend”. She didn’t talk very kindly about my ex and said she never had a good vibe about him etc.

Fast forward 6ish months, my ex/his new girlfriend ended up getting engaged very fast. Guess who they chose to do their engagement/wedding photos? My friend who did our engagement/wedding photos.

I feel like it’s really weird to use the same wedding photographer for your second marriage when there are still photos of your first marriage online (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)

I ended up cutting ties with the friend over it, because she didn’t even give me a heads up about it before I found out she had done photos for them. I’ve found out she’s talking badly about me behind my back for the fact that I unfriended her over it.

AITAH for finding this behaviour strange and unfriending someone over this?!
