📝 AITAH if I email my professor regarding another student using ATI for our group project?

I (22 y/o) female am part of a group project for an evidence-based classed for my nursing program. For this course, we’re assigned a group who we are to continue to build this big presentation throughout the semester. This presentation is an accumulation of all previous assignments and will be 70% of our grade. This being said, I was completing my portion for this weeks assignment, when I looked over one of my classmates response to a question. Honestly I don’t know if I’m just paranoid (because in one of my previous college group project for another class I had another classmate use AI for their part, which let us all to have 50% of our grade to be deducted), but her answers looked like they were AI generated. I went ahead and texted her asking her if her answers were generated just in case. She stated she didn’t comprehend what I was saying and asking if I was asking if it was about the cite source. I then stated if her answers were AI generated for this weeks group project and that they 1)looked generated 2) I checked with website to see the chances of it being AI, which then pointed to it 5/6 sentences being most likely written by AI. Which might’ve been harsh and wrong of me. Then she proceeded to correct my grammar in my previous text (which I admit I did use you’re instead of your). Then tell me that she doesn’t know what I’m referring to as her part was done by her. And that she has a plagiarism checker which is a part of her editing that she does prior to submission for the project. She also stated that unless I used a reputable source that it’s baseless. Then proceeded to ask me if my part of the project was done so it can be submitted (due date is in 2 days). Then I went on to chat ChatGPT typed in the question with her article and ChatGPT basically produced the same answers word for word. I proceeded to send this to her and ask her again to change her answers a bit and that she could’ve just been honest from the beginning. She hasn’t answered me since and it’s been two hours. I talked to my sister and she told me that I should email the professor if she doesn’t change her answers, while my bf thinks I shouldn’t worry about it until it it actually affects my grade if any. One part of me wants to email the instructor but another part of me wants to apologize to my classmate incase this is actually all a big coincidence. Idk I’m torn apart, in one hand she might be using AI and gives us a bad grade or she might be telling the truth and I’m just being paranoid (she’s a “very straightforward” person and comes off as rude sometimes), also the chances of us atleast working on one more group project are very high and I don’t want issues. However her answers, on more than one sentence matched almost perfectly with ChatGPT so idk. So would I be the a-hole if I send an email to my professor or should I just not do it at all? Kind of leaning towards apologizing and leaving as is. However, please let me know how I can do better!
