when i get drunk i like talking to people and meeting random people to chat with. last night i met someone of my culture and we were arguing (in a fun way) about stuff and i lost track of time.

after our talk, i called my friend trying to see where she was at, but she wouldnt answer so i found our other friends and ubered home

mind you, im never on my phone when im drunk but i will pick up a phone call. she had texted me where i was and i didnt see it because lost in conversation with the guy

last night i heard her come home and went to go see how her night went, she locked her room and told me she was going to bed. this morning i tried doing the same thing and she wouldnt open the door. just now, i finally got her to open her door and she just started screaming at me telling me how terrible her night was and how i always wander off and never tell her where im going. i told her she shouldve called me and i wouldve picked up but she claimed her phone was dead. she just said how its annoying how she's always trying to find me when we go out (im 21f, we both go to university.)

i do feel like the asshole but i never left the bar, and i tried calling her. this is a very small bar so i wasnt hard to spot. AITA?
