Hi so I(19F) have been dating my bf(19m) for about a year now and around January I had an interview for a good job that would pay me well enough to finally move out of my sisters house. So prior to this my bf and I had conversations about us possibly moving in together in the a nearby future and we both agree with be down for it. So when the interview happened I told him that if I got the job I was gonna start saving up so I could move out and basically told him he was more than welcome to do the same so we could move in together. I got the job a week later and started planning for the apartment right away. During the first month I kept sending him apartment listings, videos on TikTok of couples living together, cute furniture and all that stuff but he never contributed to anything at all the only time he really cared about the listings was when I’d show it to him in person and then he wouldn’t bring it up again I didn’t really mind because I was down to get the apartment with or without him and he lives kind of a privileged life so he doesn’t have to worry about “adult stuff” as much as I do so then like a month had passed of that and i was hanging out with my friends and one of them was discussing how his living situation rn is kinda bad and wants to move out asap so I brought it up to him how I’ve been planning and saving up to move out and if he’d be interested in maybe getting an apartment together he agreed and we immediately started planning and have been planning for the past couple months. Then I brought it up to my bf how I had that conversation with my friend and he just brushed it off I then I brought it up again a couple weeks later and he didn’t really care about it. Then about 2 weeks ago me and my friend started going on apartment tours and I told my bf about them and he didn’t say anything at first but then later would make kinda passive aggressive comments about it like “oh you’re leaving me for your other b*tch” and stuff like that. Mind you he hasn’t even tried saving up since I brought up the whole apartment thing and he recently got fired from his job so now he is obviously not someone I’d consider to get an apartment with yk? I get these comments are kinda just him joking around but there’s a truth to every joke so idk im not trying to hurt him by doing this but I really want to move out.
