I have completely cut ties with 1 family, and I´m seriously considering cutting ties with another family member.

In 2024, a very close family member was diagnosed with brain cancer. To confirm which type of cancer it was, a biopsy was needed.

He wanted to have the biopsy, and I respected his wishes and so did his wife. His kids were not present and had emigrated and refused a biopsy as they said " the cancer would spread."

Bear in mind the Doctor said the tumor was inoperable but wanted to confirm the type of cancer.

Without a biopsy, there was no treatment at all. That's how our local hospital works, they couldn't treat a cancer without knowing which type it was.

So we respected his wishes and did the biopsy. It went well, but unfortunately, it was confirmed that it was a very aggressive cancer, glioblastoma.

Radiotherapy was done, but unfortunately, within 8 months, he passed away.

I was accused of "signing" the death certificate when they found out that we had moved forward with the biopsy.

Remember that I helped and treated this person before going to a hospital. I put in sick leave for 4 months to treat him as he was 81 years old and so was his wife. I took a 45% paycheck cut, and there was no help from his kids to accuse me and bully me that I was responsible.

It has been 4 months since the passing. I still support his wife so shes not alone anymore.

They later apologized at the time of the funeral, only to send me now more videos of how a biopsy "spreads the cancer"

I just cried so much yesterday, and i am considering blocking them on all platforms, i know i did the best i could but this is too much.

I feel like I'm going to have a mental breakdown.

So tell me, Aita if I cut all ties ?
