Me and my three friends have been friends for a long time, however the two of them had started dated things had gotten messy and the broke up, me and my other friend really stopped talking to her ex, however last month I added my friends ex back because I was bored and really missed talking to her, I’m aware this does sound bad but I had discussed it with my friend beforehand and she well seemed okay with it the conversation went as followed below

Me- hey I was wondering if you would be okay with me becoming friends with (insert her name) again

Her- yeah sure

So I became friends with her again because well my friend said it was okay and that she wouldn’t mind it, the following day I was talking with my friend about how things were going I mentioned that things were going well suddenly she went dry I didn’t think much of it and simply thought that she was upset prior to me messaging her so I left it at that for the night.

The following day when I met up with other friend she immediately came up to me and said ‘“what did you do to (insert friend no.1 names)” and I was really confused so I said “nothing?” She then went on telling me about what I did and I was very confused because she said it was okay? I went to message her after getting an idea of what had happened, we talked it out and she said how she wouldn’t try to be worried about it and stuff, saying how she’d mind her business. Time skip to two days later, I got another text from my friend that had told me what why friend no.1 was mad at me, and this time she was mad because I matched pfp’s with that friend, I was confused and scared to be honest because to be it sounded like our friendship was going to end over something as to little as this.

This is all I have on the situation right now and I’ll update as it progresses, AITA?

Small things that I left out

• I asked multiple times if she was okay with it (she said yes)

• I told her if she doesn’t want me talking about this friend to her I wouldn’t (which I did, I haven’t mentioned that friend once)

• I talked to her about the situation twice and she said how she felt guilty for being mad at me then did it again

• she knows that I am asexual so if she thought I would be trying to get with her ex that is well out of the question

• she is not a bad friend in the slightest and I do not plan on dropping her for something as small as this
