TLDR-I have dyslexia, tourets and getting my results for autism. I told my friend about my traits/symptoms, she has started copying them. I confronted her and she has now got our friend group against me.

So I was recently diagnosed dyslexia Tourette’s and am getting my autism results soon. After telling my friend (who we will call Sam) about my diagnosis, she asked about my traits so I told her about repetitive behaviours, stimming and tics. I have started to notice she ‘copies’ my traits, if I start rocking or stimming she will stare at me for a few seconds then start rocking/stimming as well, Sam loved to read and used to go through a 500 page books in a few days and now she “can’t read without getting words mixed up” and “can’t read out loud” but when it comes to reading in front of the class or doing a presentation she can read perfectly fine. Sam has also started to ‘tic’, I have caught her searching “Tourette and autism symptoms’ on her computer, watching videos of people with Tourette and low functioning autism then copying their tics ,stimming and blowing in people face then saying “whoops sorry I can’t help it, its my anxiety” Now this is where I might be TAH, I was very overstimulated and Sam turns around, screams “Fuck you!” Then blows on me, laughs and says “sorry it’s my anxiety tics I can’t help it” then hits me in the back of the head and again blames it on a ‘tic’. I burst into tears and started yelling at her, saying she needs to stop faking disability’s and that it’s not ‘cool’ or ‘trendy’ and if she’s looking for attention she needs to find another way to get it because it’s not working and everyone is getting sick of it. She threw her textbook at me and ran out screaming “fine I’m not being friends with someone who thinks they know more about my mind that I do.” I haven’t spoke to her since, she has gotten our whole friend group agains me, I tried explaining she never showed those traits before and how it’s such a coincidence that it’s the same traits I told her I have. I don’t know if she just started doing them because she felt comfortable around me for if she was copying me, she doesn’t have autism or ADHD, she got an assessment last year and they said she didn’t have them. I don’t know if I’m in the wrong or if she is, AITAH?
