My brother recently got engaged, but his relationship isn't healthy, seen by me, my parents, sister, and others. It's pulled him away from family, he's put her above family even early in their relationship. They can't even go a day away from each other without talking on the phone, and if they do, his entire mood darkens and he becomes like a grumpy baby. I found out, from my mother rather than my own brother, that I'm not going to be a groomsman at his wedding, so I don't say anything mean. However, the bride's brother is going to be a groomsman, even though he's about 4 years younger and hasn't spent much time at all with my brother. After hearing that, I'm not sure I want to attend his wedding if he values her brother over me. (For reference, we were very close growing up, 2 years apart, went through foster care together which he claimed at his baptism that I was his rock, spent most of our time together, though have drifted slightly the past 2.5 years during his relationship)
