Saturday night we went out for drinks to celebrate husband's friend's 30th birthday. I'm female and we are all late 20s/early 30s. We had all had a few drinks and been to a bottomless brunch. Friends gf goes home. Friend then grabs my hand and interlocks his fingers, he starts kissing my hand. I try to pull my hand away but he grips tighter. I asked a friend for help and she managed to hit his arm so his grip weakened. He then put his hand on my inner thigh and slid it up to my crotch, my dress had a slit and his hand was there. I then said 'put your hand on your own thigh" and moved his hand. I was then shaking as I have previously experienced SA and felt so violated in that moment. Friend was then taken outside and husband was very angry with him. Friend came back in, put his arms around me (I stayed still), kissed my cheek and said 'it's because you're so gorgeous'. Friend was then put in a taxi home. I was very upset and felt dirty, violated and scared. Friendship group have all said they don't agree with his actions but have still included him in an upcoming stag do and are still talking to him. They said they're worried he will 'k himself'. I've decided I have no choice but to cut him off and leave the friendship group as I don't feel safe and I feel they aren't taking this seriously enough. He has a history of trying to kiss people, Kissing their necks and hugging and being handsy when drunk. They let it go on too long and now he has escalated it. He shows no remorse or accountability, just said he was too drunk to remember. So, AITAH for taking it too seriously and cutting them off? Despite their worries about his safety to himself?
