I wrote a previous post here, but to cut it short, a friend (who we’ll call Nick) told another friend that I was saying stuff about them behind their back when I wasn’t (we’ll call this friend Alice).
I have a friend-group consisting of me and 4 other people, one of which is me, two are other friends, and one of them is Nick. I broke off my friendship with Nick because I found out he was saying nasty things behind my back and our friendship hasn’t changed much.
Nick has always left me out, would never reach out to me first, and would only hangout with me when another friend was involved. He never speaks to me, and even after our friendship ended, he still doesn’t. It’s a no-brainer on why, but nothing changed at all.
Today, I was forced to hangout with Nick and two of my other buddies, who tried getting me to reconcile with Nick. He apologized to me, but it was half-assed, forced, and he only did it because our two other friends were pressuring me to.
I have always asked my two other friends to sleepover and hangout at my house, but, they never would, I’m pretty sure they said that they didn’t like my house, so Nick asked the two of them to sleepover at his house, and they agreed.
I left them, and blocked Nick on everything. I’m writing here now and all I want to know is: AITAH?
I have always been kind, respectful, and honest to my friends, including Nick. I honestly can’t believe that he’d not only break a friendship between me and another person, but also say stuff behind my back, and not even try to give an actual apology.
TLDR: Friend talked bad about me and told another friend I was talking bad about them when I wasn’t, excluded me out of a sleepover, and can’t even bother to give me a proper honest apology.
