My ex friend 19F hasn’t been the best friend out there. She tried to be nice i guess but it never actually worked she always ended up saying and doing the wrong things. Even if it wasn’t intentional it was still bothersome then she’d try to over explain her thought process and how she didn’t mean it like that. so me and our other friend decided to cut her off. She told me a lot of her secrets and i thought some of them were worrisome and maybe it’s what’s affecting her behavior.

We all live in the middle east so all of us struggle with strict religious parents that punish us for doing certain things. But i didn’t expect it to be to THIS extent.

She has a boyfriend in the US army. He’s deployed here and he’s 22 (she’s turning 20 soon too) she sneaks out of college during her breaks to meet up with him and i thought that was concerning and maybe it was what was effecting her behavior.

to start i don’t think they did anything sexual YET at least, beyond kissing. They’ve know each other for a year, most of it online and now that he’s deployed here they’re seeing each other. She claims he’s fine with her waiting for marriage and will wait until she graduates college to marry her like she planned. And she says that if by that time, when she graduates, if she still wants this and her parents don’t allow it she’s gonna leave with him and get married somewhere else.

Running away..that’s concerning too.

I ended up telling her parents everything.

But to my surprise she never showed up to college again, she’s not responding to her phone and speaking to her sister, we were informed that she was taken out of college by her dad and is now staying at home until marriage. She’s also been physically hit

I feel sick, i didn’t know this would happen

Did I misjudge her boyfriend? Was he just trying to help her?

I don’t know how to feel
