Hello everyone, so my (27M) girlfriend (27F) and I never really have arguments. We communicate very well and are in a happy relationship. We just recently brought my dog into our living space. We also have a cat. He is still getting used to the dog and sometimes crawls under the bed for a while and then pops back up later. For context, I usually do not let him go into the closet because I do not want him to get trapped in there (it has happened before). She stayed the night at a friend’s to go to a thing at her university and said she’d be home by 5pm the next day. I had class the day of and came home to find that our cat was nowhere to be found. I called for him and no response, I assumed he was under the bed. I didn’t get much sleep the night before so I decided to take a short nap. I was then awoken hours later at my girlfriend saying that our cat was trapped in the closet and asking me several questions to get to the bottom of how he got in there. I said that it was a mistake and I thought he was under the bed like usual. She leaves and comes back later saying it’s a “real problem” that I didn’t check up on him or try and locate him and is now giving me the cold shoulder. So AITAH for not being more attentive to our cat?
