I (17M) am going to Germany to stay with a friend for his 18th Birthday. I’m from the UK. We’ve played online for 5 years, FaceTime everyday, etc. I turn 18 a week later and the whole trip is paid for by me. My parents haven’t paid for any of it.

My mum is fine with it but wants me to give her the phone number for my friend’s mum. Usually this would be fine, but my friend’s mum is Muslim and my mum is racist. My mum knows this and doesn’t like my friend’s mum. I told her that I would give her the number if she told me what she wanted to speak about and let me be in the room when she called, but she refused and said they need to talk about “adult business”. She is now saying that she won’t allow me to go if she isn’t able to speak with my friend’s mum first. I don’t want her saying something offensive and ruining this for me. We’ve been talking about it for so long.
