I had a talk with my mum last night/this morning.

She’s going to try to get the wedding postponed until the next week, which was the week after either way. She said she can’t guarantee anything because availability changes - and I know that. They haven’t put a deposit down, so therefore can’t guarantee anything. But I really appreciate her efforts.

Obviously this hasn’t been fully resolved. I’m still upset by her lack of thought on the dates and I brought this up with her, but she just dismissed it and said there’s nothing she can do about it. And I also get that, it’s her wedding and if she wants that venue, she’ll have it.

I’m just debating on whether to cancel my party and move it into the week, despite many of my friends probably being unavailable due to work. But I’ll work around it eventually.
