CONTEXT: I didn't think id ever post on here but here I am. For context, I have dating my girlfriend for about 2 months and she asked me to answer honestly if I love her friend or if I love her. I said if I had to choose, I love her but I would've thought about dating her friend. She got mad and defensive and didn't respond to my texts for a while before sending me a broken heart emoji. I responded saying " wasn't trying to be mean", she said "you like friend more than me". I texted, "you said 'you want to date her for the rest of your life', that's not what I said, I said that I would THINK of dating her IF I knew her better". I thought the convo was over but I was wrong. When I saw her on the bus, she texted " you were supposed to make me happy and now look", I responded "that was not agreed upon, I'm not 'required' to make you happy, I only want to make you happy because its called 'being a good friend' when I do". By this time, I would probably show the texts here but I can't. TLDR: my GF got mad when I said I would think about dating her friend if I knew her friend better, I restated my answer (trying to elaborate), she got pissed and stopped texting. AITAH?
