📝 AITAH for speaking up about my experiences with racism at work?

I’ve been at my job for about a year, and recently I’ve been facing a lot of subtle (and not so subtle) racist comments from a couple of my coworkers. At first, I tried to brush it off, thinking maybe I was overreacting, but it’s been getting worse. One coworker keeps making offhand jokes about my background, and another regularly asks questions like, "Where are you really from?" or says things like, "You’re so articulate for someone from [insert country]."

I finally decided to address it, not in a confrontational way, but I calmly mentioned that some of the things they say are uncomfortable and hurtful. They both laughed it off and said I was being too sensitive. Now, the atmosphere at work feels weird, and I’m worried I made things awkward for everyone.

I feel like I did the right thing by speaking up, but now I’m wondering if I overreacted. AITAH for addressing the racism I’ve been facing, or should I have let it slide?
