My niece asked for a snack so I found their closet-style cupboard in the kitchen and it groaned so loudly my inner dad couldn't help but cringe so hard, so I broke out my pocket-size WD-40 and went to town on every hinge in the house, including cupboard/door/screen door hinges. I didn't touch anything in my brother's bedroom because I didn't want to pry and get into their personal crap but I treated every hinge in reach as fair game.

He and his wife noticed immediately, texting me that I didn't have the right to just make all their hinges dead silent. I mean... I suppose having your front/back doors squeaky as heck might be a step toward noticing home intruders but if you really want every neighbor on your block to hear your hinges grinding together, spray bleach all over 'em and be my guest.

It's like pulling open your mother's A/C unit's three-year-old air filter out, gagging over the packed-in cat/dog hair permanently grafted to it and replacing it with a new one, same class/grade no questions asked then later getting crap about it lol Just let me help? It's who I am...
