Am I a bad person for taking everything from the apartment when I left?

This happened during my final year at university. For the first time, a friend and I decided to rent an apartment together close to campus. It was also his last year. From the beginning, it felt like we were strangers more than roommates. We barely talked — in fact, he never really spoke to me. He was always glued to his phone, 24/7. Sometimes I’d come home around 7 or 8 PM and find him already asleep with all the lights off, even though it was still early.

In the mornings, the bathroom would be filthy — he wouldn't even clean up after himself. The only communication we had was sometimes a sentence or even just a word a day. I still don’t know why things were so cold between us. I’d try to invite him out for dinner, but he would either say he wasn’t hungry or he was already going out with someone else.

Eventually, I couldn’t take the silence and awkwardness anymore. I started having lunch with my cousin instead. Honestly, it felt like I could finally breathe again. I decided to make that my routine — I wouldn’t return to the apartment unless it was time to sleep. I even started studying at the library until late just to avoid being there when he was awake. In the mornings, I would leave early even if I didn’t have classes.

By the time final exams came around, I found out his last exam was a few days after mine. After I finished my final test, I went back to the apartment while he was asleep, packed up all of my stuff — which was 99% of what was in the apartment, including the fridge, stove, and even the power strip — and left. The only thing I left behind was his bed (since it was the only thing he brought) and didn’t even leave my phone charger because it was mine to begin with. Then I drove back to my hometown.

You would say it's ok because it's my stuff.. yes it is . but i want you to just imagine how is the place is empty is and be in his shoes so when you wake up there is no charger for your phone and you can charge it right away .
