My 32 year old boyfriend took offense to my dad asking him how he didn’t know his goat was pregnant. We’ve never owned goats before and one time we suspected that his goat was pregnant until one day we showed up to see them and she had birthed 2 baby goats. I thought the whole thing was funny and she ended up pregnant again. This time we knew.

When I go to over to visit my parents they’ll often bring up the goats just to make small talk and I’ll tell them about them. My dad has been going to my place lately though and the last two times he asked my boyfriend if he knew the mom goat was pregnant when he already knows the answer. My boyfriend said he knew but we just suspected she was. Anyways, he feels attacked by my dad like my dad was being condescending chuckling in between making fun of him for “not knowing.” I explained to him that my dad was just trying to make small talks and he goes off on a tangent every time say that my dad was belittling him and that’s there’s other things to talk about like how Trump is deporting people like my dad and how my dad’s sorry and has only ever worked labor in his life calling him names like a wetback and things like that. Idk what’s real anymore and I do yell when he says this. I told him that I want an abortion because we don’t see eye to eye and he tells me that I’m really going to commit murder over my parents who are 66 years old and will be dead in another 20 years. He says that my parent’s have done a great job of making us see them as perfect parents when they aren’t and I side with them so much that I’m willing to run to the clinic over this. Idk what’s real. J know my dad does chuckle in between but he was just talking. I don’t see what else he could really talk to him about since they hardly see each other. Am I being dramatic or is my dad crossing the line? I blame myself for him talking like this thinking that maybe he’s just being rude because I’ve been acting very short tempered with him
