So, I'm a JW (Jehovah's Witness) and have heard about the bad things my religion, which I've been feeling disconnected from recently, has done. It's all feeling so culty now, yet I feel like I owe the religion something. I've met some of the genuinely nicest people there and my whole family is in the religion. My parents, though I haven't talked to them about this, have once mentioned that they'd accept it if any of their kids would leave the JW's. I've thought about changing to Hellenism (Ancient Gods, basically) but feel bad about it. I mean, the hate and dislike I feel towards my religion seems so sudden and maybe I just want to change to Hellenism because of my liking towards Greek Mythology? I don't know. Maybe I'm just yapping right now, but anyways. AITAH?
