I’ve known this girl basically since birth but she’s gotten progressively heavier since graduating high school. We’re both in our early twenties and it’s come to a point where I’m genuinely concerned for her health. She can barely fit in her car. One time she stayed over at my place for a few days and I noticed that she carried around a weird odor. Even after showering she smelled SO bad. I had to wash my sheets twice to get rid of the smell. I’m under the impression that she’s getting so big that she’s unable to bathe herself properly. I feel like I can’t say anything because I’m borderline underweight (something I’ve struggled with for years) and I think it would sound really insensitive coming from me. Realistically there’s no nice way to go about this but our entire relationship is built on honesty. I have no judgement against people being overweight as I’m very educated on things that people can’t control (environmental factors, genetics, etc.) I’m just so concerned for her overall health and I want the best for her. I also think she settled for her bum ass bf because she thinks she’s incapable of being loved by anyone else because of her weight. She’s always been a bigger girl but now I’m just terrified.
