This is an absolute mess, I’m a 25M and my gf is 27F. We’ve been together 4 years. She asked me to take some time off work so that we could go to a major city 6 hours away for a trip. It’s a busy season for my work so I had to work 14 days in a row to get these 3 days off and will have a similar schedule when I return.

She asks me at midnight to just start driving us in her car since it’s bigger. She planned to stop 4 hours into the trip for a job interview. The “30 min” interview has now run about 2 1/2 hours and still isn’t done. she texted me she has another interview in an hour or so that will be 2 hours or so, and then she wants to look at apartments nearby afterwards.

Idk what to do. I’m 4 hours from home, in someone else’s car. The interviews don’t have a firm schedule so I can’t drive too far off, it’s 6:30 am and nothings open. Idk if I’m just cranky from driving or if this is the most absurd thing ever. I worked so unbelievably hard to make this trip happen and pulled favors at work as it’s our busy season. Feel like I’m a dog left in a hot car.

Our lease agreement is up in a month and I’m seriously considering just ending everything right here, getting a 2nd job and my own place. Idk how I’d get back to our apartment tho hahaha. I should’ve brought my own car, then again I wasn’t warned. Also as far as I know all the “fun” parts of this trip and the things she said we’d do are now just chilling at the hotel/ going to the mall since she said she’s out of money (guess she’s trying to guilt trip me into paying for all the things she said she’d pay for us to do). Idk. Tbh she makes wayyyyy more than me, at around 400k a year but holy hell is that not representative of her abilities. She can’t plan anything at all, and has only ever been employed by her parents. This helicopter parent, zero planning or life skills things has me ready to walk home lol. She’s one of those people that still has a bank account with her parents and can’t really spend the money they pay her on anything so she’s looking for a job. Idk it’s really wild. I’m in an absolute mess lol.
