I (14M) punched a kid (15M)let's call him josh (fake name) josh took my backpack and picked up over my ear and dropped it.My Chromebook came crashing down on my ear and ruptured it I had to be rushed to urgent care

After that happened he picked up my backpack to try to drop it directly on my skull.I got to josh first though and I punched him in the nose and then josh went to the bus driver and told and I got in trouble. Conveniently forgetting the part where he dropped a Chromebook on my ear.When I tried to explain my side of the story the bus driver just flat out ignored me.So after I got home I went to urgent care and Surprise surprise my ear drum is ruptured and I now permanently have ringing in my left ear making me effectly deaf in it.So reddit AITAH
