Since I met this person, she used to invite me over to her house, where she would usually hang out with her friends. At first, it seemed like a simple gesture, but I soon realized she was avoiding showing herself on video. Whenever we scheduled video calls, she often said she didn't want to appear, claiming her hair was messy or that she wasn't feeling well enough.
Over time, our communication became somewhat one-sided. I tried to arrange meetups, but they were often canceled. On one of those occasions, she said she couldn't go out because she had injured her leg. When I suggested that she might be treating me differently, she opened up about her past, including how she had been abandoned by her ex-boyfriend and how she felt replaced by another man.
After an incident where I almost lost contact with her because of a robbery, I noticed her reaction was indifferent. She mentioned that she wouldn't text me unless I texted her first. From then on, I started to feel the relationship was becoming more distant. In other conversations, she talked about her kittens and her nephews, but she also seemed unwilling to share much about herself. On several occasions, she mentioned being "embarrassed" or said she "couldn't" do something, which made me feel insecure about what she truly wanted.
We tried going out together several times. On one occasion, I suggested we go to the movies, since she always said we would never do anything fun. At first, she refused, saying she was too shy, but later she accepted. During the movie, we kissed and spent the afternoon together, but I noticed she wouldn’t let me see her phone or access her social media, staying very reserved. That created some frustration because it felt like she didn’t want me to know more about her personal life.
On another date, we went to a shopping mall and later to a motel. Once there, she seemed shy and asked me not to turn on the light, which made me more aware of her insecurities. However, after a while, she became more comfortable and her mood changed quickly, making the situation more relaxed for both of us.
At one point, she made it clear that she didn’t want me to meet her family, which left me with many doubts about what was really going on between us. She also reacted negatively when I commented that she was "overreacting" during a visit from her sister. That made her very upset and caused some distance between us.
The relationship continued to have ups and downs. Some arguments would start suddenly, like when we fought over a game we used to play together. On one of those occasions, she got so angry that she stopped playing, and communication between us became more difficult.
After a few other episodes where I felt confused about what she wanted, she invited me to a party, but shortly after said she wasn’t going anymore. I felt upset, asked if she didn’t want my company, and eventually decided to go to the party to try and clear things up. When I got there, her sister saw me on the street and invited me up to their place. The party was for one of her friends, and at some point, she introduced me as her boyfriend. However, something strange happened: in the middle of the party, she unexpectedly suggested that I download an app to find someone else, which made me feel uncomfortable.
After that, the situation got even more complicated. I went to her house, where she wanted me to stay, but I ended up leaving. The relationship seemed to be getting more and more confusing, and after a difficult conversation, I decided to break up with her. She reacted with sadness and shortly after blocked me on social media.
Soon after, she reached out again, saying she missed me more than she had expected, and we tried to reconnect. However, I found her on a dating app, which made me really angry. When I confronted her, she said she was only looking for someone for her friend's ex. That left me even more confused because she kept saying she loved me, but her actions didn’t seem to match her words.
After a few more misunderstandings, she invited me to her mother’s birthday party, but I ended up not going. Her mother called me to ask if I loved her, which made me feel uncomfortable. The situation remained complicated, and she told me her father was upset with me. That made me feel even more pressured, and in a moment of frustration, I vented online. When she saw it, she came to me saying I had deceived and used her, claiming her actions were driven by insecurity. She blocked me again and disappeared.
