I (30f) have lived with my Grandma(65) she works part time and she doesn’t like animals for the past 6+ years. It was two fold 1. She was lonely and 2. It was a financial benefit to save some money. The rent was $800 and has recently went up to $1250 due to some major maintenance repairs to the house. My sister (36f) my niece (5)and our 2 cats (not on lease) live in an apartment under my name because she has an eviction on her record (she can afford the apartment) Recently my sister’s car just gave out and needs a lot of repairs so she plans to move in with her friend that lives closer to her job. The issue is I can’t move the cats in with me and my grandma can’t afford the house by her self. Yesterday my grandma made a comment about losing to a cat and I have felt guilty since. I don’t want rehome our cats but I also don’t want to but my grandma in a tough spot. AITA for possibly moving out to take my cats and leaving my grandma in a tough spot.
