📝 My (26 f) Bf (31m) has the location of someone else. AITA for getting upset?

My Bf (31 M) and I (26F) have been dating for 6 months. It is a loving, fun relationship and I am happy for the most part. In the beginning of our relationship, he made a big deal about how cool it was that I didn’t ask for his location 24/7 (the find my friends location app) and how he didn’t believe in the concept. I share my location with a dozen or more people, not to track them 24/7 or invade their privacy, but because it’s convenient to see if they’re own their way or in emergencies. Because my BF, felt so strongly about not sharing locations, I thought nothing of it.

Last week, we were at a bar, and I was tracking a friend (whose phone was dying) to see if they made it safe from the airport. The topic came up, and I asked him if he let anyone track his location. He kind of got flustered and said he didn’t know. I asked him to check, he said he didn’t even know the name of the app. I reminded him it was “find my friends” and it turned out a female friend was tracking his location and vice versa. I immediately got a bad feeling in the bottom of my stomach. He maintains he shared his location with the female friend last year and just never unshared it. He even unshared it then and there.

The thing is, when you text someone and you have their location, you see it under their contact info. Surely, even someone who doesn’t use find my friends, would notice that their location is by their name when texting them?

Okay, I know it’s a stupid app and people are allowed to not be “tracked”. But the fact that he let another person do it, and not me his girlfriend, is this mean greater trust for the other woman? Is granting this tracking feature to another person an indication he has feelings for her?

He thinks I’m overreacting. AITA?

TLDR: bf makes a big deal about how he doesn’t want to share location. Finds out he shares location with female friend. Claims he “didn’t know” he shared his location.
